Blarch # 5 & 6 - A Double Double

Guess what Tashers, you're getting a combo meal today, because I slacked yesterday. 

Sorry. I'm human. 

So today's blog(s) begin with the letter U. As in Update. 

On the dating end, my experience on my current dating site have been interesting this week. I have been hit on by married men looking for a side thing. I was asked to be the third wheel in a marriage. And just yesterday, I had a distinguished gentleman tell me that he's looking for a woman who would 'tell me what to do and put me in my place'.

Um...so in otherwords, he wanted a dominatrix. I responded with the fact I already have 2 kids, not looking for a third. Not my jam. THANKSBUTNOTHANKS. 

I cancelled my subscription post haste. 

On the job end, everybody loves my education and experience, but doesn't want to pay me for it. Meh. 

If I hear I'm 'over-qualified' one more time, imma scream. And now, at 52, I'm beginning to feel I'm becoming a victim of ageism. As an employer, I would want to hire someone in that particular field who knows what the hell they're doing. But perhaps the game is hire someone younger with zero experience so we can pay them less?!?! Until that younger person under-performs and they then call me to clean up the mess. 

It's an endless cycle, on both ends. Please share if you can relate, I'd love to hear your stories!

Red Does Divorce...or does she?

A million years ago, I became Lotus Blu Mama, a blog that I started to document my transition from having an advertising career with a million dollar media corporation to being a WAHM. And let's just say, that transition was, um, a bit traumatic. Let Me CBD My Way Out The Door

I haven't blogged in 2 days, Imma slackacracking. Life threw something at me recently and I needed time to process. One true lesson in life is you never know what's going to happen. Let me just reiterate something you've heard a million times already - please tell the people you love that you love them. Often. A close friend of mine went through some serious life altering stuff a week ago, she's still in recovery. The thought of losing her is terrifying. So please, text/call/email your loved ones. We may never get a second chance.  Wow, what a way to liven a blog, Tara!  Meh. So far this year, same shit different day.
